Yesterday I broke out the Mod Podge stuff and transformed another one of the Christmas trays I have (bought about 10 of the darn things for neighbor Christmas gifts but they were way too big for what I had planned to put in them!). Here's the before and after:
I'm using pages from an old Funk & Wagnell's Dictionary I got for a dollar at the Deseret Industries thrift store awhile back plus some specialty paper that was in my stash of stuff for altered art (a few years back I did some altered books and of course had a big stash of goodies). These trays are a perfect size for mini paper pads, washi tape, packaged embellishments, etc. I'll snap a picture of how I'm using them in my craft room. It took about and hour and a half to cut and decoupage one of these - a two cups of tea project!
We have a pair of quails that have been hanging around. They are so precious! Hoping to capture a snapshot of them soon. This year there seems to be an abundance of birds. Many more turtledoves for sure and the blue spruce trees out back are finch/sparrow condos! Have seen a few neighborhood squalls there. There are lots of robins and starlings too, all very busy building nests.
Today I'm going with my old man to Nephi to pick up fence pipe; we'll also be stopping in Orem to check out Simtek fence (which we'll be putting up on the east and west sides of our property), and going into Springville for something I can't remember. It's a beautifully sunny but cool day - good day for a ride.
