A Little Spring Crafting

Hello again!

And Mr. Robin says, "Spring has sprung on Vine Street!"

This little feller made his appearance March 5 in the backyard. Unlike the finches, sparrows, doves, and quail that hang around the bird feeders, Mr. Robin is much more concerned with what is happening beneath his little feet; i.e., the rumbling of earth worms (or "doity woims" as the song goes . . .)!

Although March roared in like the proverbial lion on the 1st, our weather has been mostly quite pleasant and as you can see, the grass is "riz!" So it's put me in the mood for a little Spring crafting. I found this sort of bell jar thing at Joann's and thought it would make a cool dome for a tiny scene.

Here's what it looked like from the store.
I took the ropey hanger out and glued a vintage drawer knob that I've had for a few years waiting for the perfect application to the top. Then I gathered a pretty blue saucer that I had found at the local thrift store, a half Styrofoam ball, some sheet moss, some artificial flowers from a cast-off bunch, and three tiny glass bunnies that I've had for years too.

Some of the ingredients

Hot gluing the moss; a few burnt fingers here!

Moss all trimmed.

Bunny placement.
And the finished product! Sort of fun . . .

Now I have to take down the snowman collection and put out the birds and rabbits and flowery things . . .
Ta for now!
